Wrightbus ‘in the balance’

The future of Wrightbus is hanging ‘in the balance’, DUP (Democratic Unionist Party) MP Ian Paisley (b. 1966) has said.

The business, based in Ballymena, County Antrim, Northern Ireland, entered administration in September and is up for sale.

Reports suggest the English industrialist Jo Bamford (b. 1977), son of JCB (Joseph Cyril Bamford) chairman Lord Bamford (b. 1945), has made a bid for the company.

The ownership of the Wrightbus factory at Galgorm, just outside Ballymena, remains a barrier to an overall resolution.
