Bristol ‘bus desert’ fear
11 Feb 2023
Transport campaigners say they fear south Bristol will become a ‘bus desert’ following a decision to cut funding.
From April, 42 bus services across the region are set to disappear, after a vote by political leaders last month.

The withdrawal of funds could affect vital bus services
WECA (West of England Combined Authority) chose to no longer support most of its loss-making routes, hence the funding cut.
Vital routes to hospitals, schools, colleges, and workplaces are among those services facing the axe.
