Strikes postponed for more talks

London Transit bus workers in the west of the capital have postponed three more days of strike action pending further talks next week.

More than 350 drivers, engineers, and store workers at the Westbourne Park depot were due to walk out on Wednesday 26th, Thursday 27th, and Friday 28th November, following a below-inflation pay rise offered by the operator’s parent firm, First Bus London.

The same Unite the Union members previously took part in industrial action on Friday 14th, Monday 17th, and Tuesday 18th November.

First Bus London said: ‘We’re pleased that, following positive discussions, the planned strike action has been cancelled, and that further talks with Unite will continue.’
