Council removes abandoned bus

Gloucester City Council (GCC) has removed an abandoned bus after it became a ‘magnet’ for antisocial behaviour and drug dealing.
The city bus, situated on Longsmith Street, was a bar for a couple of years, but the owners left it behind when the business closed in 2021.

GCC, which owns the land, said it had received reports of lone females and ‘vulnerable individuals’ climbing over walls to access the site.
Morag Gordon, Engagement Officer at GCC, said: ‘The removal of this bus eliminates a dangerous and hidden space that was being used for crime and drug activity.’
