Nothe Fort
Weymouth
At the extreme end of the peninsula, through Nothe Gardens, is Nothe Fort. This Victorian fort, built 1860 – 1872, was one of the south coast defences designed to thwart any invasion by the French. Here you can explore magazines, tunnels, and ramparts; there are also guns, displays, and models.
