4 / 5 ▪ Very Good

Portsmouth Historic Ships is a voyage of discovery through naval history. It begins in 1194 with the Historic Dockyard and King Richard I (1157 – 1199). See King Henry VIII’s Mary Rose and the artefacts found on board. Discover what a sailor’s life was like on HMS Victory. Find out about Victorian inventiveness aboard the revolutionary HMS Warrior. There is also the Royal Naval Museum, which charts the rise of the Navy from its earliest beginnings to the present day.
