St Nicholas Church
Weymouth
At Abbotsbury is St Nicholas Church. This dates from the 14th century but has had various revisions in its time. The tower contains three bells dating from 1773. The chancel still has its plastered barrel roof and fine altarpiece. There is also some painted glass from the 15th century, a stone effigy of one of the abbots, and a Jacobean canopied pulpit. English Heritage has designated it a Grade I listed building.
