Online booking service piloted

In response to coronavirus, a bus operator in Bristol has launched what it calls a ‘pioneering’ new booking system.

FirstBus is piloting the scheme in the city and rolling it out across areas of the West Country in August.

Passengers can make bookings up to seven days in advance via the Book My Bus Ride website.

With onboard capacity reduced due to social distancing, a reservation will secure a space on the chosen bus rather than a specific seat.
