Boy charged with bus murder

Police have charged a 16-year-old boy with the murder of teenager Damani Mauge, who sustained a fatal stab wound on a bus in Croydon, Greater London.

Officers arrested the alleged attacker, who is from Mitcham, on Sunday 15th March; he is to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court later.

Police have also charged the boy with attempted robbery and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

The stabbing occurred on the 130 bus in Whitehorse Lane, South Norwood, at about 20 30 (8.30 p.m.) on Sunday 8th March.
