Teen jailed over bus murder

A court has jailed a 16-year-old boy for fatally stabbing a teenager on a bus in Greater London over ‘school beef chat’ on social media.

Marvin Dyer attacked 15-year-old Baptista Adjei as he travelled with a group of friends to Stratford in October 2019.

Dyer had boarded the bus wearing a blue latex glove and stabbed Baptista twice with a hunting knife.

At the Old Bailey, the chief criminal court for England and Wales, His Honour Judge Hillen sentenced Dyer to life imprisonment, with a minimum term of 16 years.
