Bus bosses criticise U-turn

Bus company bosses have criticised a U-turn on plans to ban cars from parts of Oxford, Oxfordshire.

Oxfordshire County Council and Oxford City Council had both wanted to install temporary bus gates in Hythe Bridge Street or Worcester Street and St Cross Road or South Parks Road.

County councillors — advised to ditch the project after thousands of people opposed it — will likely make a final decision on the plans at a meeting tomorrow.
