Service upgrades announced

WECA (West of England Combined Authority) has announced a £7 million package of bus improvements.

The authority has planned over 3,000 extra journey hours per week across the Bristol, South Gloucestershire, and B&NES (Bath & North East Somerset) regions from April.

Five key routes across Bristol will introduce ‘turn up and go’ policies, including eight buses running each hour along Gloucester Road.

Dan Norris, Mayor of the West of England, said it means ‘passengers will no longer need to worry’.
