Bus named after campaigner

06 Aug 2022

Mr Montague, who died earlier this year at the age of 98, was a well-known figure among the city’s gay community.

The activist fought for and won an apology from the government following the repealing of his criminal conviction under the Sexual Offences Act.

Ed Wills, who is managing director at bus firm Brighton & Hove, said they were ‘proud’ to honour a local hero.
