Bus driver still facing jail
06 Sep 2023
A court has cleared a bus driver — who killed a woman when he accelerated at London Victoria Station — of causing death by dangerous driving.
Olusofa Popoola pressed the accelerator rather than the brake, shunting his bus forward into a stationary bus that then went on to hit Melissa Burr.

Old Bailey
Ms Burr was 32 and from Rainham in Kent; she died from multiple injuries following the crash on Terminus Place on Tuesday 10th August 2021.
At the Old Bailey, the chief criminal court for England and Wales, 60-year-old Mr Popoola heard that he faced jail time after he admitted death by careless driving.
