Councillors to make bus lane decision

A meeting is set to decide if a new bus lane will go ahead in Eastbourne, East Sussex, after residents raised concerns.

The meeting, taking place today, will look at plans to install the new lane along the A259, Seaside, and St Anthony’s Avenue, as part of wider improvements.

In July, East Sussex County Council started a consultation on the plans, which some residents and businesses criticised over concerns about congestion, air quality, and parking.

On the meeting’s documents, the authority has recommended the revised bus lane proposals for approval.
