More bus shelters to get CCTV
25 Nov 2024
Transport for London (TfL) is to install CCTV (closed-circuit television) cameras at a further 15 bus shelters across the capital.
TfL hopes this will improve passenger safety, particularly for women and girls, enabling them to travel with confidence 24 hours a day.

TfL to add more CCTV cameras to bus shelters
TfL will trial the technology for 12 months at locations with high footfall, quiet areas, high crime spots, and places where people have reported feeling unsafe.
The Metropolitan Police will be able to access live footage from the cameras, which will help officers detect and prevent crime, TfL said.
