12 Mar 2025
Residents in Oxford, Oxfordshire, have said they are living in a ‘bus desert’ and are requesting a service to connect them to the city centre.
More than 800 people have signed a petition, calling for the return of a bus linking Cuttleslowe and Jericho, via Kingston Road and Walton Street, to Botley.

Oxfordshire County Council cut bus subsidies in July 2016, and the route 17 service, operated by Stagecoach West, lost its funding.
The authority thanked the campaigners for their correspondence and said it would respond ‘in due course’.
