Safe Bus moves to new location

A bus in Plymouth, Devon, that offers support to people during busy nightlife hours, has temporarily moved to a new location.

The bus, which operates on Saturday nights/​Sunday mornings between 22 00 (10 p.m.) and 04 00 (4 a.m.), has moved to the DC2 bus stop on Derrys Cross Roundabout.

Since its launch in 2023, the Safe Bus has helped hundreds of people who were feeling unwell, had sustained injuries, or just needed time away from clubs or pubs.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the change was due to roadworks — planned for the next nine months — on Royal Parade.
