Parking ticket for second bus in town

03 Mar 2026

A traffic warden has issued a parking ticket to a broken-down bus in a Kent town — the second such incident in the space of a week.

Ashford Borough Council backed the decision of its warden to issue a ticket to an Arriva Kent & Surrey vehicle, parked at a bus stop in Tenterden, last month.

The authority has now confirmed that another bus, operated by Hams Travel, had received a parking ticket in the town a week earlier.

Ashford Borough Council said its traffic warden acted ‘correctly’ in both cases as the bus drivers had left their vehicles unattended in Tenterden High Street.
