Flare injures bus driver

A bus driver may have suffered permanent eye damage after a teenager threw a lit flare at her in Bristol.

Avon and Somerset Police said the 53-year-old would require ongoing hospital treatment, following the incident in the city centre on Wednesday 30th December 2020.

The force has arrested a 14-year-old boy on suspicion of causing GBH (grievous bodily harm) with intent.

Police are keen to speak to a woman who was standing at a nearby bus stop at the time of the attack.
