Free bus pass now available

Following delays to the scheme, people can now apply for a pass that offers free bus travel throughout the month of their birthday.

Dan Norris, Mayor of the West of England, announced the free travel plan for residents of Bristol and the surrounding area back in May; the scheme is set to begin next month.

The aim of the £8 million plan is twofold: first, to grow passenger numbers, and secondly, to cut carbon emissions.

Residents can apply for the Birthday Bus Pass on the website birthdaybus.co.uk, which is live from today.
