Fire in former bus station

Police put a cordon in place overnight at a former bus station in Devon, following a fire that began in a toilet block.

At about 20 00 (8 p.m.) yesterday evening, the emergency services received reports of a fire at the derelict Exeter Bus Station on Paris Street.

The fire service said their crews tackled the blaze before handing the scene over to the police at about 21 00 (9 p.m.).

Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed that there were no reported injuries caused by the fire.
