New fleet for M1/M2 routes

13 Oct 2023

Go South Coast, which is part of Newcastle-based Go-Ahead Group, is to introduce a new fleet of 28 double-decker buses to the streets of Dorset.

The operator will use the vehicles on its M1/M2 (Bournemouth – Poole) services, run by its subsidiary, More.

The company is committed to reducing congestion in the region and said the £7.7 million investment ‘is a huge step in that direction’.

Andrew Wickham, chief executive of Go South Coast, said: ‘We’re increasing the capacity of our vehicles, which could potentially take up to 75 cars off our roads.’
