Funding to improve services

Gloucestershire County Council is proposing bus service improvements after receiving government funding.
The authority secured funding of more than £4.4 million over two years from the Department for Transport (DfT).

The DfT funding means the county council could reinstate the bus services that Stagecoach West withdrew in 2022.
The government approved the recommendation to try to secure contracts for 25 specific improvements, including an expansion of The Robin, an on-demand rural minibus service.
