Man charged over bus stop attack

The Metropolitan Police have charged a man with having committed a homophobic attack on two men at a bus stop in Brixton, Greater London.

Thirty-one-year-old Jabbard Mabounda, of Crosby Walk, Brixton, is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

Michael Smith and Nat Asabere were on Brixton Road at about 22 30 (10.30 p.m.) on Saturday 19th August when the assault took place.

The couple are in their 30s and 40s respectively and both needed hospital treatment for their injuries following the attack.
