Car crashes into bus stop

Nine people are in hospital after a car crashed into a bus stop in Greater London, the Metropolitan Police have said.

Officers received a report at approximately 03 30 (3.30 a.m.) this morning that a car was in collision with a number of pedestrians in Aldwych.

London Ambulance Service (LAS) confirmed it had taken eight people to hospital following the crash.

The Met arrested a man in his 20s, who also required treatment in hospital, on suspicion of dangerous driving.
