Bus driver avoids jail over death

05 Jan 2024

A bus driver who killed a woman at London Victoria Station has avoided jail after admitting causing death by careless driving.

Olusofa Popoola mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake on his bus, shunting it forward into a stationary bus that then went on to hit Melissa Burr.
