Park-and-ride too wet to open

A Dorset park-and-ride service, due to run over the Easter holidays, is on hold because the field used for parking is too wet.

Lyme Regis Park & Ride operates during peak holiday times and had been due to return on Saturday 30th March.

Land leased to the town council for parking, however, has not dried out from recent heavy rainfall, forcing the cancellation of the service.

Bus operator First Wessex said it now expected the park-and-ride to resume on Saturday 4th May.
