Park-and-ride upgrade in doubt

Council officers in Dorset have recommended rejecting a plan to upgrade Lyme Regis Park & Ride.

Dorset Council’s planning committee will decide whether to approve plans for the site, which is on Charmouth Road, at a meeting later.

Proposals include better access for cars and buses, a new café, toilets, and electric vehicle charging points.

The site currently runs during peak holiday times but flooding forced it to remain closed over Easter.
