Road closures for bus lane works

The installation of a bus lane on a major route in Reading, Berkshire, will result in three overnight road closures, the borough council has said.

Cars heading towards the town centre will no longer be able to use the left lane of London Road following the completion of the work.

The road will shut in both directions between 19 00 (7 p.m.) and 01 00 (1 a.m.) on Monday 12th, Tuesday 13th, and Wednesday 14th August.

Reading Borough Council’s Labour administration said the change, which will come into effect on Thursday 15th August, would lead to faster and more reliable journeys for bus passengers.
