New summer service to the beach

A summer bus service, linking a town in Kent with the East Sussex coast, is to begin operating from tomorrow.

The new route, operated by Stagecoach South East, will run from Ashford to Camber Sands until Saturday 31st August.

The buses, which will be on the number 500 service, will run four times a day and will call at Hamstreet and Lydd.

Ashford Borough Council said Stagecoach had scheduled the buses so that they connect with high-speed train services to and from Ashford International railway station.
