Bus drivers and engineers balloted

09 Jul 2024

The Unite union has said it will ballot a further 300 bus workers for strike action in the capital in a row over pay.

Reports suggest the London Transit drivers and engineers are angry over a 3% pay offer, which they say amounts to a cut in pay in real terms.

Unite has already balloted about 1,600 London United drivers — in central, south, and west London — for industrial action on the same issue.

French state-owned RATP [Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens] Group, which runs both London Transit and London United, has yet to comment on the matter.
