New bus crashes on launch day

28 Nov 2024

Transport for London (TfL) has said it is investigating after one of its new electric ‘tram-like’ buses — on the day the new fleet was launched — collided with a car.

Reports suggest the Go-Ahead London bus crashed on Sevenoaks Road, Orpington, on Wednesday 20th November, when the new route 358 buses came into service.

During a Bromley Council meeting, Cllr Kathy Bance said the bus collided with a car belonging to a Labour councillor’s wife.

A spokesperson for Transport for London said no one sustained any injuries in what TfL understood was a minor collision.
