£1 bus fare cap in Brighton & Hove

Brighton & Hove in East Sussex is to get a £1 bus fare cap on ‘short single journeys’ around the city.

Local operators will be involved with the fare cap, which comes into effect on Sunday 1st December and continues until Friday 31st January 2025.

Brighton & Hove City Council says it is using funding from its Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) to enable passengers to travel more cheaply around Christmas.

The offer is available through tap-on-tap-off (where the operator provides this option) or directly from the bus driver via a cash purchase or contactless card when boarding.
