01 Jan 2025
Bus fares in parts of Kent, Surrey, and East and West Sussex have changed as the government’s national bus fares cap rises.
In October 2024, the Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, announced that the single bus fare cap in England would rise from £2 to £3.

The Labour government’s new £3 fare cap, which comes into effect today, will run until Wednesday 31st December.
As a result of the increase, bus operators including Stagecoach and Arriva have introduced changes to some of their fares in the southeast.
