Strike action to disrupt bus services

A bus operator is warning passengers of severe disruption as drivers are set to strike for four days over a pay dispute.
During the industrial action, from Tuesday 16th to Friday 19th September inclusive, 600 drivers from First West of England’s Citylines service — which operates inner-city routes in Bristol, as well as the city’s airport service — will walk out.

Badgerline bus services — which cover the areas around Bristol — will operate as normal, after drivers on these routes accepted the pay offer.
‘While this was our full and final pay offer, we still hope to find a solution with the trade union [that] encourages them to call off these disruptive strikes,’ said Doug Claringbold, managing director of First West of England.
