More biomethane buses on way

FirstBus is set to roll out more biomethane gas-powered vehicles across Bristol, the firm has announced.

East Bristol will receive 67 more buses from April after 10 of the vehicles began running on the M3 Metrobus route earlier in the year.

An additional biogas refilling station, built at the Lawrence Hill depot, will cater for the fuelling needs of the new fleet.

FirstBus said the move was part of its ‘commitment’ to become greener and help tackle the climate crisis.
