New bus lane approved
18 Feb 2020
A local authority has approved plans for a 24-hour bus lane and a number of changes to one of Bristol’s busiest roads.
The West of England Combined Authority (WECA), which approved the city council’s proposals, is also providing £3.3 million in funding.

Traffic plans for the A4018 also include the creation of a new bus stop
Following a public consultation, the council scaled back its plans for the 2.4-km (1.5-mi) section of the A4018.
A previous version of the project, which was on a larger stretch of the road, prompted thousands of objections.
