Woman killed by bus at station

A bus struck and killed a female pedestrian at Waterfront Bus Station in Chatham, Kent Police said.

Police and ambulance crews attended the incident, which occurred at about 14 15 (2.15 p.m.) yesterday afternoon.

‘An elderly woman was declared deceased at the scene,’ a spokesman for Kent Police said in a statement.

The force has asked for any witnesses, or anyone with CCTV (closed-circuit television) or dash cam footage, to contact them.
