Breast-screening bus tour

A breast-screening awareness bus has started touring a Devon city, following a low take-up of appointments.

Latest figures for Plymouth overall show that the number of people coming forward between 2011/​2012 and 2021/​2022 is 72.5%, a drop of 8%, the Primrose Foundation says.

The bus will particularly focus on areas of the city where take-up has dropped as low as 54%, the charity’s bosses say.

The Primrose Foundation, NHS (National Health Service), and campaigners have part-funded the double-decker.
