Bus service withdrawn

Residents of a Bristol suburb say they may have to consider moving due to the withdrawal of their bus service.

People living in Ashton Vale lost the number 23 bus when the operator withdrew it earlier this month.

First West of England, which ran the service, said they had axed the route because of low passenger numbers.

Guide dog user Stephen White said he had moved to the area because of the bus connection to the city centre and losing it had ‘changed his life’.
