Passengers escape bus fire

All passengers escaped without injury when a bus went up in flames in a town centre in Wiltshire.

Eyewitnesses said about six to eight people were on board the vehicle when it caught fire in Milford Street, Swindon, at about 18 00 (6 p.m.).

Fire crews extinguished the blaze but the road remained closed while engineers investigated the cause of the fire.

Ambulances were at the scene but nobody sustained any injuries, Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service said.
