Two arrested after bus assault

Police have arrested two 18-year-old men following a serious assault on a bus in Bideford, Devon.

An 18-year-old man was boarding a bus in Old Barnstaple Road between 21 00 (9 p.m.) and 21 10 (9.10 p.m.) on Saturday 8th July when two male passengers allegedly assaulted him.

Reports suggest the two men also pushed the victim into the bus doors with such force that the glass smashed, leaving him needing hospital treatment.

The assailants then went off with the man’s bag, containing a Samsung mobile phone and a VR headset, police said.
