Man charged over bus stop attack

Thames Valley Police have charged a 19-year-old after he allegedly stabbed a man in the face with a machete at a bus stop in Bracknell, Berkshire.

The force charged Dre Hayden, from Woodmere, Bracknell, with GBH (grievous bodily harm) with intent and threatening a person with a blade in a public place.

The attack occurred near a bus shelter outside Radius Court, London Road, at about 13 20 (1.20 p.m.) on Wednesday 9th August.

The victim, who is in his 30s, needed hospital treatment for his injuries; doctors have since discharged him.
