Campaign to restore bus service

A campaign backed by a local Conservative MP aims to bring a village bus service back to Dorset.

Winterbourne Steepleton and Martinstown both had a service until 2014, when the bus operator decided it was taking too long to divert from the main road.

The campaign aims to persuade First Wessex to take what is now the X51 service through the winterbourne valley once more, at least for the summer.

West Dorset MP Chris Loder and the Dorchester Transport Action Group (DTAG) are both backing the campaign.
