Man arrested over bus assault

Police have arrested a man in connection with the sexual assault of a teenage girl on a bus in Bristol.

Reports suggest the man inappropriately touched the girl while they were travelling on the bus on Monday 26th February.

Officers detained a 61-year-old man on Thursday 30th May following a police appeal; he remains in police custody.

Avon and Somerset Police, whose inquiries continue, said they have updated the victim and her family with news of the arrest.
