Bus station windows ‘a disaster’

Cllr Pam Tracey has dubbed new stained glass windows at a bus station in Gloucestershire ‘a disaster’.
Gloucester City Council has installed the artworks, which cost £101,976, above the bus bays, six years after Gloucester Transport Hub opened on Station Road.

The windows display ‘welcome’ messages for people preparing to leave the city, but some passengers have raised concerns they are facing the wrong way for people arriving in Gloucester.
Leader of the city council, Jeremy Hilton, however, said he was pleased the windows were in place, adding that people arriving in the city could see the messages if they turned around after entering the bus station.
