A new workshop in Oxfordshire is to convert old diesel buses into zero-emission battery-powered vehicles.
Bus manufacturer Wrightbus will begin adapting the diesels when the workshop opens this month, with the aim of decarbonising 500 buses in its first year.

Converting a diesel bus to a battery-powered vehicle could extend its life by 10 years
The company says retrofitting older vehicles will appeal to operators and local authorities that cannot find the money for new ones.
Wrightbus, the UK’s largest manufacturer of new electric buses, expects the conversions to extend the life of each vehicle by a decade.
