Woman assaulted by man at bus stop

A man sexually assaulted a female runner as she passed him at a bus stop in Gloucestershire, police have said.

The 27-year-old was running near Montpellier Gardens in Cheltenham when the man smacked her on the bottom.

When challenged by the woman, the man — described as being white, under 30, and with short, spiked, mousy-coloured hair — ‘laughed, apologised, and then got onto the 94X bus to Gloucester’, Gloucestershire Police said.

The force is appealing for witnesses to come forward following the incident, which took place at about 19 00 (7 p.m.) on Monday 10th June.
