The Met names girl killed by bus

The Metropolitan Police have released the name of the nine-year-old girl killed after a bus struck her in Bexleyheath, Greater London.

Ada Bicakci, a Turkish-British national, was on Watling Street shortly after 09 00 (9 a.m.) on Saturday 3rd August when the bus hit her; she died in hospital two days later.

Ada was with her five-year-old brother, who was also involved in the collision, and another family member at the time of the incident.

The Met has arrested the bus driver — now bailed until early November — on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving and drug-driving.
